Factory Shots: Machines, Craft, and Leather
People hear terms like “original leather” or “factory line” all the time, but it’s hard to picture what that actually means. Here are a few raw photos straight from the workshop — no filters, just what it looks like.
Standard Machines, Real Production Line
The stitching, the edge finishing — you can’t fake this on random equipment. On the original production line machines, the spacing and consistency come out naturally clean.
So, What’s “Original Leather”?
Take a closer look:
-
Animal pores are clearly visible — not stamped or printed.
-
Natural grain, with small variations.
-
Supple feel that softens over time.
The hides here are from Haas, one of Chanel’s suppliers. Same source, same quality grade. You can see the difference right away compared to mass-market material.
Final Note
Good leather and proper machines don’t need much talking. The pictures tell the story.
