Matching the iconic GG quilting pattern isn’t just about copying lines – it depends on the precise softness of the leather and the grade of stitching machines and thread we use. The real challenge is recreating that full, padded, three-dimensional effect: the depth of each stitch, the angle of the needle, the pull of the thread and the spacing between every line. All of this had to be tested again and again before we locked it into the final pattern.
For the shape, we insisted on that sweet spot: soft and buttery, but still holds its form. Our artisans (each with 10+ years of hand-sewing experience) build every bag stitch by stitch, understanding both the leather’s flexibility and the internal structure. The result:
